It has been over 20 years since I came to Oakville with my family as part of a corporate transfer with my husbands' employer.
I had never been to Oakville before, and felt that our move to the Greater Toronto area was going to be a very overwhelming experience.....until I visited this wonderful "town" on the side of Lake Ontario. One short stroll along the shoreline, and I was ready to commit to the move!
Originally from the Eastern Townships of Quebec, I have travelled and lived in many locations over the years. I studied and began my food and beverage management career in Montreal in the early 1980s. As a result of my early schooling and environment, I am fluently bilingual and can easily converse back and forth between English and French.
While our children attended elementary and High School in Oakville, our family was intertwined with the world of minor hockey, both kids played, both parents volunteered as coaches and trainers. I spent many hours working with the Oakville Hornets Girls Hockey Association as a volunteer, tournament registrar, and several hours on the bench of various teams- very rewarding!!
In 2005 as the family grew somewhat older, I decided it was time to step into the career I had been wishing for over several years, and joined Royal Lepage as a Sales Representative. I have not looked back, it has been fantastic to help people sell and purchase their homes along the way. I still enjoy the challenge, as no two clients or transactions are the same, I love the details involved in preparing a home for sale and in researching properties of interest for buyers, and negotiating their purchase.
As a full time realtor for over 13 years now, achieving award levels for several years in a row, I have found that the hours can be long and unpredictable, but also allow opportunities to participate in activities in the off-hours.... In 2010, I was lucky to be selected as one of the realtors who would participate in the building of the Habitat for Humanity home in Oakville. I joined 19 other realtors from our real estate board for a day of community work- it was an itchy operation as we arrived on "insulation day" and our task for the day meant we all went home with little extras. It was a great opportunity that I would recommend to anyone who has some time and talent to commit.
I look forward to meeting every new client that comes my way as well as to welcoming repeat clients and the friends and family that they may refer to work with me.
